Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 14, 2026

ARMChain Foundation ("ARMChain", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit armchain.org, use linked developer tools where we act as controller, or contact us (collectively, the "Services"). If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, wallets, blockchains, or applications that we do not control (including community platforms such as Discord or X). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

  • Information you provide: such as your name, email address, organization, and message content when you email us, submit a support request, join a waitlist or program, or otherwise communicate with ARMChain.
  • Technical and usage data: such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, operating system, referral URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps. We may collect this via server logs, analytics, or similar tools.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files or SDKs used to remember preferences, measure traffic, or improve the Site. Where required, we will seek consent before non-essential cookies.

Public blockchains are transparent by design. If you publish transactions or addresses, that information may be visible independent of this Policy.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Services;
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support;
  • Send administrative messages (for example, policy updates) where permitted;
  • Analyze usage trends and protect security (fraud, abuse, and debugging); and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of: your consent; performance of a contract; our legitimate interests (such as securing the Site and understanding aggregate usage), balanced against your rights; or compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, analytics, email delivery, or security vendors), subject to appropriate safeguards and instructions. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or asset transfer, where permitted.

5. International transfers

We may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses) or rely on applicable adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required by law. Logs and analytics may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing or request data portability. You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

9. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
